It is Christmas Eve, a day like no other for the Parises. Their home, where nothing is left to chance, is decked out like Fifth Avenue. That is immediately clear to Giulia, our protagonist, a practical and sensible young woman. She has been dating Lorenzo for some time and today she is meeting his parents for the first time. In the span of a few hours, as comedic and mysterious events happen, fun and the many antics of the Parises follow one another as the family hold their breath for the arrival of the one who traditionally appears at midnight: Santa Claus. Through Giulia’s changing point of view, we swing between diffidence and fascination until we finally see things through the eyes of a child and accept with her the magical possibility that it is not that strange to meet Santa Claus outside your door.
